This is by far the toughest question for me to answer. I believe that if many criteria are met by the end of this program, then I will know that I have arrived. Firstly, that I complete each course in this program and ready to take on the additional year for my masters. Secondly, I can look back on the courses and the program as a whole and smile knowing I have learned much from them and exceeded my own expectations outlined in my previous post, "Where do I want to get to?" Thirdly, I can take to the classroom, whether f2f or online or some other combination, new teaching methods and new skills to better the education of my students. Lastly, I have achieved each of the programs learning outcomes described on their website. I will need to have these criteria met by the end of this program to be able to go on to achieve my Master's degree by taking the additional year. I need to feel that I can do the seemingly crazy amount of work, research, and writing to know for sure that I have arrived at my destination. Finally, when I can look back after 3 years of learning and I cross that stage with my Masters degree in hand, I know then that I will definitely have arrived at my final destination.
